Liga ng mga Branggay president and Punong Barangay Lino Fernandez of Brgy Lucao, Dagupan City, called the attention of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to help in the strict implementation of road clearing operations and cleaning drive on public roads.
In an exclusive interview by Bombo Radyo Dagupan, a government official involved in the project mentioned that DPWH should must show willingness for the said operation.
According to the same official, policies that have something to do with roads and public places were the responsibility of DPWH, so it should cooperate for the implementation of President Duterte’s order to take back public roads that were being used for private purposes.
Fernandez said motorists paid Users Fee, so they should not be denied the use of the public roads. He added that he only wanted to ensure road safety, so the roads must be cleared and cleaned. with reports from Bombo Cheryl Ann Cabrera
