National Security Adviser Hermogenes Esperon, Jr. fully believes that President Rodrigo Duterte can solve the problem in Mindanao.
According to Esperon, he has known the president for a long time, including the president’s utmost desire to put an end to insurgencies in Mindanao.
He adds that it is Duterte himself who is convincing the military to do their job well in order for Mindanao to finally achieve peace.
It can be recalled that Esperon proposed to extend Martial Law in Mindanao for one more year because of the attacks launched by terrorist in this part of the country, particularly in Sulu.
Esperon stated this after the SONA. This appeared to be in favor of the president as he said he was open to Esperon’s proposal. with report from Bombo Badz Agtalao
