Health secretary Francisco Duque III said that he cannot yet confirm when to start the re-implementation of the use of Dengvaxia vaccine. According to the secretary, there is no timetable when to re-use the controversial vaccine.

The certificate of product of Dengvaxia is currently revoked after it was blamed for the death of several children who were injected with the controversial medicine.

The health secretary also adds that, in spite of the government’s openness to the said issue, Malacanang Palace is still studying the proposal and making sure that the vaccine is really effective against dengue, particularly to those who were infected by the disease in the past.
